Internship opportunities abound in the Portland/Vancouver area. For example, you might intern with any of the following:
- Advertising or public relations agency
- Multinational corporation
- Nonprofit organization
- Government
In addition, you have access to a vast network of Murrow School alumni across the state and nation.
Student organizations
Strategic communication majors can become involved in campus media, such as KOUG Radio, the VanCougar newspaper and the Salmon Creek Journal.
Plans are in process to start local chapters of the American Advertising Federation and the Public Relations Student Society of America. Through these organizations you can network with industry professionals.
